The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Xiamen National Accounting Institute are about to launch the first joint research project of the Belt and Road National Accounting Standards Cooperation Forum.

With the theme of  "Digital Transformation of Financial Reporting in Chinese and Pakistani Enterprises", the research intends to analyze the current status of digital transformation of financial reporting in China and Pakistan, its main drivers and challenges, key technologies and application scenarios, as well as the impact of digital transformation on corporate financial performance and operational effectiveness. Furthermore, it will provide policy recommendations for the two countries to further promote the digital transformation of corporate finance and carry out international cooperation in relevant fields.

Prior to this, the teams of both parties have conducted multiple rounds of communication on the research topics and methodologies. The project is scheduled to be officially launched at the Seventh “Belt and Road” National Accounting Standards Cooperation Forum on 14 October
